Hi All

Has anyone had a play with this iPhone/iPod accessory:

Sounds like it may serve a purpose adequately.

cheers

Unfortunately, it's not really an iPod/iPhone accessory, but a Mac accessory. If it DID go directly into an iPod I'd be extremely excited. A Mac based solid state video recorder mounted to my rig... Hells yeah.

Still a useful consumer device.

the problem is the connection, it's a USB port, if it's possible to have a double female USB and the tool get the power from the Iphone then it's done...

and here it is...

That'll get you plugged into the iPod/iPhone, but how are you gonna record?

Need the app from the store that record videos... shouldn't be too difficult to implement and I think that if you crack your Iphone you already can do it

Matt, can you point me to an App that will record from an external video source? I've never been able to find one. I just assume there is no video input, either on the 1/8 connector or the proprietary power/data connector.

Brian... sorry but I have no idea... I have an Iphone but I'm not very into it... I thought was possible but for sure I'm wrong.

Just as an idea it looks possible but you're right there's no video in...

sorry

I was saying to Imran at the Broadcast Show that it would awesome to not only integrate an iPhone as a video recorder, but loop the monitor video through it so you can get a popup notification on screen for incoming calls from prospective clients :)

Might also be able to use the iPhone's motion sensor to have an on-screen display of "cost per shot" based on Ted Churchill's criteria...

Now that's a good idea, Ed!
