Does anyone know where to rent PowerCubes? I am starting an F23 feature, and the rental house doesn't have any batteries for Steadicam. I'd buy the Dionic HC's, but they will not be available before we start next week. I know Panavision has a bunch of them, but I'm not going to ask them to rent me batteries for a show they are not providing the cameras. I doubt they would anyway.

Any ideas are appreciated,

I wouldn't hesitate to ask Panavision. Rental houses do stuff like that all the time. Of course they might say no, especially with all the digital shows they are providing for right now.

Can't the rental house subrent them for you? Since they do this with each other all the time, it should be easier than having you go to another rental house for the reasons you mentioned.

BTW on my last Genesis show we had a set of Hytron 140's to power "offboard" monitors for focus pullers--I had them swap out for Powercubes as the rental price was the same, much to my surprise.
