Hi all

I have in mind an upgrade to an American c-stand as I feel my turtle base c stand always feel a little less stable than I'd like.

Anyone any observations or other recommendations?

Will a long sled clear the legs on the American c-stand when in dynamic balance?

Hi Paul:

I've used the American stand for a good 12 years now (maybe more, hard to remember). No complaints. FYI, their wheel option is OK but being hard, relatively small diameter wheels they won't roll easily over cables. Backstage Equipment makes pneumatics for this stand that work very wheel, but are quite a bit heavier.

I use the single telescoping stand, some prefer the two-stage. Either way, you can simply raise the stand as much as needed so that the long rig can clear the legs. I suppose with a Superpost on this may be an issue but there's always ways around things (borrow a combo stand from the electrics or something).
