Hey all,

Thought I'd share a link to my first one-shot steadicam take on live tv.
Forgive the YouTube quality, haven't received the dvd copy yet.

I think I was a tad smoother in dress with the backwards step down off the stage....but overall felt pretty good about it....tried to keep it a little organic.

Cheers!

Hey Bryan, really great work! I love your subtle "dutch" flow and feathering zoom work. Really nice job, very musical and very polished! Best video work I have seen in a awhile. Caught a sliver of your shadow at one point, and the end pan off would have been smoother with a focus rack or something, but over all, I would feel pretty great about this work. It really works wonderfully as a "one'r". Congrats.

Jeff

Hey Guys....

Many thanks for your words of encouragement. I consider it an honor to receive some thumbs-up from people I consider to be top dogs.....yes Rob you too...haha!

Perpetual Respect to you all.

Bry

PS...Jeff....I so agree with your comments.....was swearing at myself during the shot when I saw the bit of shadow, and in rehearsal they dissolved away from me much sooner at the end frame.... so a rack focus would have been the money there, as well to allow for a slightly different dissolve point. All little things that make me strive for MORE next time.

Did my share of the oner yesterday.
We didnt do 100% of the song, as we had to give the technocrane and 5 other camera's the change to move out of the set for me. So its around 95% steadicam.
Also note that the stage is very small, stairs, and follow spot lights, and a preformer that forgot a few things. Still think ( and hope )it came out pretty nice. Excuse the singer LOL

Excellent Job!
I'm curious, did you ever get a chance to perform a one-shot with your AR?
