Hello All,

I just unpacked my new SACHTLER monitor arm bracket for the 1,5 inch posts. It telescopes and TILTS!. Very solid and sturdy, no bending or flexing. Just like the XCS version but with tilting function. It places the (LCD) monitor much lower and generates a better viewing angle and a lower weight position.

Order # SBS18B0460 AKA # 6612

Thanks to Curt at Sachtler!

it's better than what I hoped for. Lower weight, equals shorter post and better dynamic balance, better viewing angle. Feels just like with the CRT and by the way, the Hummingbird is amazingly good in full sunlight.

Hi Tom,

the bracket is great, thanks. I screwed and super-glued it to the monitor. No chance of play. You might want to talk to Rob over at Nebtek if he wants to buy/carry your brackets, since he sells the Hummingbirds.

bracket post

Best,

Jens

update. FYI: you can use the sachtler bracket also on a 2" post sled by buying the 2" post clamp from XCS and mounting it to the sachtler bracket. you only have to widen the screw hole due to the DIN size screw otherwise it's compatible.......

Nice.

There look like there are Satchler style dials at the ends of the little posts, do they do anything. Also can you get longer posts for it?

How is it going into Low Mode? Does the whole monitor bracket spin around? Or are you just changing its angle and operating with an upside down monitor?

It seems quite nice.
