This email came to me via Dave Frederick, the SOC's former president because the SOC would like to honor Matt's memory. If anyone can contribute, please email Lynn Lanning at llanning@pacbell.net

All I have for Matt Chubet's obit is the following, and it's not helpful. I found a little more about his death on the web, but didn't find that appropriate either.

Could someone either write a short paragraph about him, or get someone to do it? Something that conveys Matt's personality in some way, preferably.

Also, I have been unable to find a date for his birth. I can assume it was 1962, but it would be nice to be sure.

Matthew Lawrence Chubet, of Marina Del Rey died on Monday, January 1, 2007, while camping in the California desert. He was 44.

He was a member of the local union #600, society of camera men. In addition to his parents he is survived by two sisters Teresa Chubet of Woodland Hills, CA, Marcella Jackson of Silver Spring, MD, one brother Mark Chubet of Sherwood, MD.
