A common mistake... that lately has defamed many Donkey Boxes...

Contact Tom Gleason at Cinewidgets... he is making that piece as GPI does no longer carry it.

Good Luck,

Erwin

Perhaps appropriate payback would be to approach the studio camera body and grab hold of the follow focus, then spin it all the way to infinity and keep banging it up against the stops while announcing "something's wrong with this thing, it's jammed! Maybe a little more force will do it..."

If it wasn't so annoying, I'd find it amusing that you have a thumb screw directly below the "quick release" versus the traditional allen key. I would have thought the thumb screw would have attracted a little more attention.....

How can GPI not stock spare parts for something that was stilll being made only 5-6 years ago? This isn't like trying to find a bumper for a 63 Oldsmobile. i's just not that unreasonable to ask for parts like this.

They do carry this piece as I just had an AC do a similar thing to my DB II. Maybe the get it from Tom, I don't know but I had production get another from GPI.

Hi Guys
Just wanted to clear up any confusion regarding the DB II Clamp Lever. We do keep a few of these in stock as we use them on one of our gyro mounts, but only in limited numbers. The DB II is an obsolete component, however we will support it with what we still have available. Unfortunately as the left over parts get used up we will not be able to.
I just spoke with Tom Gleason and he does make these parts, so if you are ever in a bind Tom will be more than happy to help you out.
If you have any questions regarding this please do not hesitate to give me a call.

Hmmm...serial #20, that makes it from '95/'96 (not sure when the db2 started, but my sled is a stock '97 and still kicking)? Not too bad considering it's about 11yrs old and has obviously seen many years of use. I wouldn't expect that many years of service out of many (any?) manufacturer's rigs.

a caption? how'bout "this one goes to eleven."
