Hi Lars
may sound obvious but you never know.
Is the channel selector pot on both TX and RX on the same channel number ?
Check claibrate switch is in the middle position
Try a different channel
Good luck

I'll add:

Make sure you don't have a Modulus sitting on top of your receiver. If you are using one, make sure it is set to below channel 50 and is as far from the receiver as practical.

One possible problem - if the transmitter and receiver are not of the same "chip upgrade version" they will not recognise each other. I had this once when an older version transmitter went down and we tried to use the latest upgraded transmitter... no dice

Hey everyone,

thanks for all the info,

me and the focus puller calibrated it several times. Everytime without wireless video and made sure all BFD cables were isolated. All cell phones were off. We made sure the calibrating button was in the middle. Tried all channels, even tried different channels in case the switch had been twisted. Nada, zip, nothing. Getting a Chroziel back-up from a steadicam collegaue tomorrow morning. So hopefully it'll all work out.

Jerry; I've used the unit several times with no problems. And no updates have been made to either. So I don't think this can be the problem. Not sure though. I'll have to send it to Michael Hofmann (I bought it from him), and he'll probably send it to Jim.

S**t, it totally sucks when these things happen. Felt like an idiot in front of the focus puller. God it testing me, that's it. Arrrghhhh!

Contact Jim Bartell directly. As far as I'm concerned he has always been very responsive both through email and by phone.

Hey everybody,

thanks for all tips and e-mails. I did contact Jim and sure enough, the next day he sent me some info on how it may be fixed. He wants me to check if anything is loose in the T/X, as he suspects something isn't right there.

So hopefully, it'll be up and running within Friday.

Just spoke to Jim on the phone. We checked the modules over the phone, opened them up. Everything seems to be in order. He suspected that the power plug might have been inserted to the data in socket, in which case it'll blow a fuse. Everything would seem to be in order, he said, but the R/x won't be able to receive anything from the T/x.

I called my focus puller, who said he remembers he might have done something like that. So hopefully we've solved the problem.

Jim is shipping out new parts today. I must say, that the service and knowledge of Jim is impressive. Thank you Jim!

Fine time to tell you. He didn't think this was important that it was the last thing he did before it stopped working?

Ugh.

I know. Say, I'm looking at the yellow pages. Can't seem to find Hitman. Anyone have a suggestion?

Hmm...guess I need to cancel the hitman. The problem was a faulty RF module in the RX. So it was a warranty thing. These things happen, I guess. Good thing now is that the unit is good and healthy.

Thanks to Jim for great service and VERY quick replies.
