Here's a question: Are prep days not the norm on big dollar commercials? I can understand Music Video's trying to cheap out but commercials with real DP's and real budgets? Does anyone else have to fight for a prep day on a 2 to 4 day commercial with a real budget? I seem to shock production types when I let them know I need to be at the prep. Am I expecting too Much?

I"m all ears?????????????????

Typically, the AC's build the rental package and scratch test, then the Steadi op will build up with his assistant in the afternoon at the rental facility. So, to answer your question, one day is the norm for prep.
