Eventually I believe this forum will be a 'Real Names' forum where members will be required to use their real names.

Please edit your Display Name now so that it shows your real name at http://www.steadicam...ODE=dname_start

Changing your display name does NOT affect your login.

Thanks.

Thanks Tim,

It's something I recommended in the first couple days of the "new" forum back in
late 2003....see post #13 of link below:
http://www.steadicam...0&p=22

Good to see it's finally being implemented.

It's something I really like about this site and you hardly see it anywhere else.

Agreed. I think the new changes are great. Internet users are very used to concealing their identities and information, and it's definitely surprising to see such an open and honest community. Thanks to Tim, the moderators, and everyone else that has made it what it is today.

Best,
Afton

Great...

As I can see many have already changed to there real name. Like to see that. And thank you for participating. Thanks again Tim for going along with our request.
And also thank you for adding the new Forums that quickly...

Welcome everybody in the real world of our profession "the fantasy world"... (I know that makes no sense what so ever...)

But, Isn't that nicer???? I sure think so.

Thankyou to Tim and the moderators Erwin, Eric and Alec for all your efforts and time on the forum. It is a great resource, and such a wealth of knowledge and expertise that we can all help get better. It's good that all those of us who are involved in our craft can come here for help, advice and great discussion.

The real name thing is excellent too.

Great - no more hiding behind the pseudonym "Leigh Wanstead" and making all my silly comments behind the guise of another.

Fine - whatever.

Daniel Benjamin Coplan

PS - I don't know Leigh. Just a friendly jab for fun so don't anyone freak out.

Hi all,

this is just a test to see if I've changed my display name successfully.

Thanks. :)

Trying to do the right thing here but it won't let me. Keeps coming up saying that I don't have those permissions. Arggggghhhh. If it's easier, delete me into oblivion and I'll just sign up new. Let me know.

Dear Edwin,

I got your message and tried to change my username. For the record, my name is Mark Sparrough. However, the link that you sent me to didn't work and now it says that I have changed my username and cannot do it again, yet I cannot get back on the forum. Help.

Thanks,

Mark
