Glidecam arm standard socket convertion/adapter, has somebody tried to do it??

Hi, i've read a topic about the glidecam v25 this:

in the second post Mike Marriage said about the arm:

"It doesn't use a standard socket block and although V25 arrangement works fine, it does prevent you from swapping the vest or arm. You can buy a socket block converter to solve this."

 

i've though this too, has somebody already done it?

is it difficult to do?

and... is there a shop where i can find this converter? or i have to machine it by myself?
