i was wondering if anyone knows the size of the bolt that connects the panasonic dvx100 to a tripod

Most prosumer camcorders are a 1/4-20.

Thanks I just wasn't sure if it was the same for the higher end cameras

Hey Victor,
Three things about the DVX and screws ...

1) Yes 1/4 -20 are the right size &

2) Important.... You need only go in 3 or 4 thread revolutions, the DVX have a shallow clearance to the goodies inside &

3) Don't over tighten the screw, they have a history of breaking the little plastic part that is the thread holder thingies' in the bottom.

If you are new to the DVX go to DVXUSER.com ... A wealth of Info. If not it's still worth the trip?
