I've recently bought Flycam 3000 stabilizer and I'm having hard time balancing it. In a particular position of gimbal , it is perfectly balanced. But when flying cam, even with the slightest rotation of gimbal, it starts wobbling. I'm not able to do pans and tilts. I've checked the drop time and its around 2-3 sec. Am I balancing it properly or theres something wrong with the stabilizer?

Try this: balance the camera on the stand with the lens facing left, then still on the stand, rotate the steadicam so the lens face right. Is it still balanced? if no, then your gimbal is out of alignment, contact Flycam to have it fixed.

You can also try to fix it yourself. Here is a PDF for a different kind of steadicam, a bigger Tiffen rig, but the idea is about the same. http://www.tiffen.co...alCentering.pdf
