Hello, looking to Frankenstein a Steadicam Ultra Arm I bought used and serviced with Mr. Luna.
The arm didn't come with an arm-to-vest socket block so I need to buy one or make one. I have a Proline Vest which has the same connector size as the GPI Pro vest.
The post is .750" and I need .625" to fit my Proline sled gimbal. And I would like the option to have one long post that I can adjust for different subject's heights.
Thoughts or ideas?  I attached photos of the arm.

The "post adapter" is probably made better in two parts - First part is a clamp that grabs your size arm posts, and floats between the "shelves" of the end black, just as the current one does. Then you can use standard arm posts in multiple lengths. There should also be a couple of Delrin or Nylon flanged bushings in the to keep everything centered.

The arm to vest connection is not something you want to make... buy one used somewhere, or get a new replacement - New ones from Tiffen will fit your arm.

Tiffen also sells an arm post that fits a Master or Ultra arm and has the end turned down to fit an EFP, 3A, or Pro Gimbal. It won't give you the adjust-ability of the mod Jerry suggested, but you would be able to order everything you need from Tiffen to get up and flying right away.

The item number should be 250-7975 if they still carry it.

Thanks for the idea Jerry, I can get behind that,

Thanks Tom, just reached out to Dan Ikeda for the temporary post and arm to vest connector, should have the pieces soon.
