Some of you may know that I?m writing a book on Steadicam operating with Laurie Hayball.

Much of the book is complete, but we still need lots of photos, both current and historic, of Steadicam operators and their gear.

We are asking for your help acquiring more photos of operators at work, and working in interesting locales, all sorts of vehicle shots, hardmounts and soft mounts. We?d also like unusual equipment like big or tiny cameras, teleprompters, jury rigged focus motors, etc., running rigs, lightweight equipment/modifications, using the rig horizontally, anything extraordinary? anything fun.

If you?d like to help out, please email me low resolution copies of your photos (or a description of what you have) to photojerry@comcast.net. If we can use the photo, we?ll ask for a high res version. Please limit your contributions to six photos (if we need more we will ask you?).

It is not necessary that the photos be of branded Steadicam® equipment.

We can?t guarantee we?ll use anything, but we will look carefully at all that is sent.

Alas, as we are going to publish the book, there are some requirements for the photos:
You must have the rights to the photo itself.
You must be willing to sign a release for us to publish the photograph.
And you must have the permission of all persons in the photo to publish.

Thanking you all in advance,

Jerry Holway and Laurie Hayball
