Did anyone manage to test out the new version of the Klassen Flex vest at Cine Gear?  Any comparisons to the first gen flex?  I heard it's lighter and more comfortable, but any first hand accounts?

I tried one out at Cinegear and it was very comfy! I do not have a flex though, so I cannot compare it to that vest (just my standard back mount I have been using for many yrs)

I think it was very similar to the flex except Walter added additional alum support for strength. The lower part is softer leather that won't cut into one's leg. I will probably upgrade to it soon

Although I had only tried the original vest from an operator was about 10" shorter than me, it was still quite comfortable.
I should have the Flex 2 on Tuesday and can offer more feedback then.

Also worth noting that Klassen is having a summer sale where $500 comes off anything over $5k. I'm not sure exactly how long it's on for,

but certainly worth thinking about if a new vest purchase is on the horizon.

I'm yet to try it out on a job, though running around the house has proven it is quite comfortable indeed. Most definitely lighter than the original Klassen vest.
Still working out the best fit but it's already ahead of our last vest in terms of personal comfort and fit. Highly recommend checking one out if possible.
