Hey Guys,
Had my Pro arm for years, been perfect, no problems. Just recently it's developed a creak that affects the sound during takes. Just wondering if you had any tips on maintenance for this type of issue. It's really hard to pinpoint where the creak is originating.
Thanks heaps,
Nic.

Pull the canisters and clean the two pins and their mating surfaces on the chassis.

Not sure what vest you have but I had a similar noise that turned out to be where the plate that holds socket block meet the center upright spar. Took it all apart, cleaned it and reassembled it, no more noise. Pro vest.

Lubricate the "canister draw bar (piston)" that is held in place by the single stainless steel screw under load, push the arm down, that makes it being exposed.

White lithium grease is recommended by Jack.

an inside look in the canister:

Thanks Jens and Nick,
I think I'll try all of the above! Hopefully one or all do the trick.
Cheers,
Nic

Also check all the bolts that hold the arm together. Both the one you tighten with an Allen wrench and the ones that use the little pin spreaders pro gives you. Mine were a little loose and I was starting to get some creaking.

Thanks Jess, I'll make sure I get all of them. I'll check the socket on the Pro Vest too.
Cheers,
Nic.
