You got yours? I'm still waiting for mine...

If possible, can you record a little movie how the record functions work?

I'm mostly interested in how you would fast forward during playback.

Thanks! Can't wait to get mine.

I emailed you a clip. Its a great little monitor. I just received a update which i need to install.

Till ow the monitor looks like 25p and not 50i. Even if you shoot 50i the looks are 25p. Perhaps the choice will be there with this update. The clips that it can record isn't hug he, so the quality is for viewing only. I am very impressed with the quality though.

The size and weight is fantastic. Image looks great.

Hey Job,

Does the StarliteHD have an SDI trigger system for recoding clips? Are you limited in size of the clips by the card you use or is there another limiting factor?

Iain - with the most current firmware it auto-records with SDI trigger on the Alexa and C300/C500 but I don't believe it works on the Epic yet - I could be wrong though as I haven't had a chance to test it with an Epic.

I just found this chart regarding compression and recording time.  You can create a custom compression file on your computer to load on to the Starlite if you want less compression.  The default is fully compressed at '23' and allows for a 44min long take.  If you change it here's how that will reflect in your recording time.  I'm assuming this follows the 4GB file size limitation.

Latest update let you adjust the color, brightness and backlight, which i was missing. Still in love with the size and weight and overall quality

Can this Monitor accept Standard Def video signal?  Would be great to use as program return monitor and record line cuts.
