something I have noticed more recently in my PRO titan arm, maybe it was there before, maybe not

is there is some play, a few mm, where the socket block attaches to the eye bolts, there is a noticeable bit of movement .. is this something normal? or do the threaded pins that hold the allen head screw into the block need to be tightened ?

Normal. Play goes away under load.

Not sure if this is the same thing you're talking about.  I noticed the other day some play in the side to side 1/4" allen screw bushings.  You can tighten those bushings with a flathead screwdriver.
