Anyone know the size of these threaded holes? I tried a 4/40.......I got 3 good turns. Don't think that's it.

2/56 is too small.

Anybody have a clue?

If you tried a 4-40 and got three turns in, that's an M3 metric screw. Found that out the hard way myself!

:) I wished we could all agree on one system...these differences in standard sizes are nothing but trouble (for europeans relying on US technology and vice versa)

It's definitely a M3 screw. 8mm long.
