My HU3 needed a good tune-up and while at it, I had David Hable re-anodize it in a "rust" color instead of plain black . Substantially raises the odds of recovery if ever stolen.

super duper badass!  how much does something like that cost and do you have to take it appart yourself or does he do it?

Around 1k for everything ; taking it apart , sanding , anodizing and putting it back together . Better reach him direct for a quote. It's not cheap but my Preston was such in bad shape cosmeticaly that it was worth it .

nice idea, but it might be cheaper to buy a new housing from Preston, did you check?
