The Pro manual states on page 20:

Orientation of the socket block adapter assembly is critical in that, the Arm should never be mounted in such a way that the weight is applied parallel to the axis. This incorrect axis orientation is always present when using back mounted vests.

Are there any known issuses caused by using a PRO Arm with a Klassen vest? Any modifications recommended?

The pro arm has the same weak link all arms do...the heim joint/rod-end bearings that adjust the angle of the socket block. Except for that carry over from the beginning of time, the rest of the arm is pretty bomb proof. MK-V makes an adaptor block that gets rid of the screws. Cheap insurance to replace them every few years anyways, especially if you are back mounted. It's a beefy arm and strong as hell, wouldn't worry too much about it unless you are flying gigantor cameras or have neglected it for many years.

Jack took my arm and replaced the rod ends with a solid block adaptor when he found out I was using a back mount. The new block is rock solid but it does preclude you from the standard adjustment that you would use on a front mounted vest.

I thought PRO made a steel socket block for this reason.

the socket block is not the issue, the eye bolts are and yes they switched from titanium to steel a while back for strength reason too

I ordered the Pro arm socket adaptor from MK-V six weeks ago.
Have yet to receive it. Has anyone else ordered it and is waiting?
I was told it would take 3 weeks

Hi, I am waiting for a solid block too. They have designed them and are waiting for machinists I understand. I think it'll be ready any day now.

FYI
I just got an email from Howard saying he is no longer with MK-V directly.
"I no longer get emails from Mk-v I am working as a consultant for them and I have not heard anything.
I have forwarded your email to them and I hope they answer you.I no longer get emails from Mk-v I am working as a consultant for them and I have not heard anything.
