How long before someone tries to arrange a group buy for them?

Well knockoff might be the wrong word.
All of these are pretty much based on the same brushless gimbals that were originally
intended for camera drones.
Anybody can buy these gimbals and attach them to a bunch of carbon fiber rods.
Obviously there are some proprietary things like software controllers etc. but it was clear that
there would be a whole slate of different stabilizers out there.

I think most systems are based of AlexMos boards and software. All the other parts are readily available at most RC/Robotics distributes. Companies like FreeFly use some off the shelf parts, but have built extensively upon the original software. They also custom manufacture their carbon fiber elements.

Hey Alan, Just FYI there is not a single part on the MōVI that is off the shelf(other then fasteners and batteries). Every single part on the MōVI is designed in house in Redmond WA, from PCBA to Motor design and manufacture we do it all.
