Hi all;

Just wondering what super reward have you had with a particularly great job?

Just a conversation starter is way back in the 80s we all heard Larry McConkey bought himself a plane with the hard-earned money from "Casualties of War" (Sean Penn and Michael J. Fox) big deal film he worked on.  We all newbies, at the time marveled at the very idea of such a purchase.

I know of a few other 'stunning' purchases but love to hear what you all have bought.

Janice

Have a wonderful week.

With my last job, I paid back my sled entirely. So to me that's my sweet reward, that's no plane I know but I feel good anyway.

I now a guy in LA who bought a place called Jumbo with his steadicam money. You can find him there every day to look out over his investment.

Congrats!

After doing my first feature, I turned around and bought a brand new (to me) sled, and finally switched to Anton Bauer batteries. Certainly a wonderful upgrade, and not something I normally would have had the cash to do. The pros of big paychecks, I suppose, though I did miss that money for a while afterward until I sold my old sled!
