I am considering getting a Steadicam system but I would like to use one first (several times) before purchasing.  Are there any places in Houston where I can look and try it out? Actually, I'm interested in a Glidecam 4000.  I have a Panasonic HM-C150.

Hello Magee,

unfortunately Steadicam is not a plug and play device. so instead of renting a steadicam i strongly recommend you to take a 2 day workshop. that way you get the proper initiation to our craft from teachers as well as trying out several smaller rigs in your weight range. you should also buy and read the steadicam operators handbook.
