Does anyone have a recommendation for a kit to start making BNC cables for HD-SDI? There seem to be a lot of choices at varying price points.

I'm not really looking to save money on cables; I just want more control over my cable length at my leisure. I know there are a lot of you out there with cable OCD!

Neutrik do a nice little kit which contains a connector with jacket, a couple of those, some decent quality cable, a good hexagonal crimper and you are good to go.

You can get lower profile connectors as well commonly used for thin HDSDI cables.
A good crimper with interchangeable tools will do both.

Alan, just go to Pacific radio and buy the crimpers & cutter. Then decide on what gage wire and they give you the proper bnc ends to fit

Maybe $200

Thanks, guys.

Rob, Will texted me earlier with that exact advise, so I'm going to take a trip to Pacific Radio.
