Mk-v owners how do you power the alexa from your sled? I've heard some are doing 12 and 24 volts across different manufacturers. I want to power a BFD and bolt from the sled as well. Waiting on a response from mk-v.

Is a 12 volt alexa cable different from a 24 volt cable?

For Alexa I always need to run at 24V, at 12V it tries to draw too much amperage for the sled to handle. This is using the MK-V V2 boxes. The cable is different for 12V and 24V in that you have to use pin 3 for +24V, pin 2 is for +12V, pin 1 is always GND.

All your 12/24V ports will still put out +12V if your accessory cables are wired positive to Pin 2.

Hi Michael
You are definitely better off with 24v. The Alexa is very thirsty in 12v. I can run it for over 4 hours in 24v in the AR with 2 GMP190ah batteries. Less than an hour in 12v.
