Shouldn't be that hard to make with a car charger cable. If you're going to make one, just be really careful not to fry your phone and test it with a fresh off the charger battery. If it would blow at any point, it would be then.
*with brightness at 50% in well covered areas.

Erwin, that looks remarkably like the ones I used to make. I still have and use one, and it still works great. There seems to be a lot more elegant solutions out there now, so I probably won't make any more.

I would love that vieuwfactor dtap plug, but it has been out of stock for ages now

The only issue with the Viewfactor plug is it's a micro USB, so you'd need an adapter between the regular iPhone cable and the plug itself.

Thanks for the heads up on that little beauty of a product Evrim - that is exactly what I want. I just decided to invest in the PAG linking V-mounts and this piece fits what I need exactly.
