Ted Churchill has long been my steadicam hero. However, it was not until I had everything I owned on velcro that I learned he also was known as the Velcro King. After hearing so many stories from the legends around here (enough similarities that its troubling ) it saddens me that we never met. If anyone has photos of his velcro setup I love to see them.

Anyways here is a little look into my little room in Brooklyn( if you are in the NYC area and we have not met, contact me) . Hopefully this video makes you smile. If you are on virgin airlines in the next few months you can see it on the flights.

WTF does this have to do with Steadicam? Everybody uses velcro, BFD. More self promotion. Stop it.

You are right Lawrence. This has nothing to do with steadicam besides Velcro and the legacy of Ted Churchill. Since some other operators I know personally thought it was entertaining amount of velcro, I thought I post it. If this off topic forum is not for such things, my mistake.

If it is to much a stretch, or upsetting to anyone, I am ok with this thread being deleted.

Hi all;

I think Kyle's video is really fun and his use of velcro is sooo good.

I do wonder about my velcro covered stuff and wonder if we could invent anti-bacterial velcro?

I know my velcro is just nasty. Its been in many worlds and would make a germ counter tilt.

Fun to think about, (the anti-bacterial stuff).

How did I get pulled into this? Kidding, but FYI practically every BFD coming in for repair is covered in Velcro. Kyke could just throw them on his wall. Ken Ferro used to describe his job as "walking advertisement for Velcro".

Excessive Velcro usage might be a bit risky :)

Happy new year everybody!
