Hi, I am looking into making a weight plate at a local Machine shop in Brooklyn.
I was wondering if anyone had some sort for ideal hole placements and measurements.
Otherwise if you know a place where I can get one already made in NYC, that would work too.

I agree with Matt. Janice Arthur makes some great quality pieces and very fair prices.

For camera screws in 1/4"x20 (like you would use to put a 1/4" threaded camera or quick release directly on a dovetail or a Sachtler or OConnor QR plate), I've found these to be decent quality and pretty cheap. Bought a ton of them a while back, along with their 3/8" counterparts. http://www.bhphotovi...4_20_Screw.html

For the rest of the screws, like screws to go through a weight plate and into a camera (or quick release plate, etc) or for building a cage out of 2 weight plates, just go to Home Depot, or, if you're feeling like getting good quality hardware, either an Ace or Tru Value, or order from McMaster-Carr (where you can get a box of bolts for the price of 4 in a bag at Home Depot).
