I'm very interested to see what the "Bolt" can do. Has anyone had a chance to look at this TX/RX system at NAB or IBC and done a quick test on the range, signal quality, etc?

Thanks,

I handled it at DV Expo but the company rep was not particularly forthcoming nor friendly. I have a feeling it was his first show.

What I saw on the monitors looked fine (clean image and no lag) but it wasn't a distance test. I never really trust trade show demos anyway, would rather put a transmitter through the paces in multiple environments before deciding anything about them. The Camwave did pretty well at NAB that first year...

Trying to get a tester but they seem to be on lockdown. I have a feeling that the promised delivery date is misty.

Hi Charles, yes, I agree about the testing. I'd also love to get it on set to see how it performs. One of my initial concerns is that its output is only 10mw...not so much!

Cheers,

Tim

Wolfgang

Hey guys,

I wanted to jump in here to clarify the alleged new prices for Bolt:

What Wolfgang has posted is an older, unfinalized list of how the products will be sold. Not only are the prices incorrect, but the descriptions do not reflect the options that will be available when Bolt begins shipping in bulk. We will have the finalized pricing and models listed on our website at that time.

For those of you on the pre-order list, you will be able to purchase the unit described on our website (fully loaded) at the price we first announced. :)

I know you guys are eager to test these things out. Hang in there - they're just about ready! It really will be worth the wait.

All the best,
Mike

I just got an E-mail from Teradek, since I was on the pre-order list , that Bolts are shipping. I placed my order which was limited to only one TX/RX for $1990 USD plus 3-day shipping for $29 USD. I'm hoping to get the unit next week and I'll post again with my feedback.
If your on the pre-order list you can also choose to get one TX and two RX , sorry but I didn't see the price for that combo.

'Twas I, however, I was booked onto a job the night before I was supposed to go test. I ordered mine, also. Heading down to Irvine on Monday to go and do the test!

I'll stick with my Recon for now. Waiting to hear how it holds up after it gets put through the ringer.
