Good Afternoon fellow steadi mans!
Me and my partners own 2 bartechs and we are thinking on buying a new Remote Focus Device.
Have any of you ever used or have thoughts on the RT Motion?
It looks good and is way cheaper than the preston.

Thanks in advance!

I've never worked with one, but it looks like a promising piece of equipment.

My only concern is the menu interface, but that tends to be my concern on most follow focus units. The RT Motion uses a colour indicator for the menu. This allows more options as far as what you control than say a Bartech, but you would have to familiarize every AC with the colours durring setup. This menu interface does shave money off of what the system costs, as the alternative would be a more expensive LCD integrated in.

I'm not saying don't buy it, because with new technology becoming more popular such as the Cmotion, ACs are having to learn new equipment more than ever. This was just the feature I noticed that will probably get some criticism.

The new units have an oled screen so that makes the colour-code problem not an issue anymore.
I'm really liking the new unit by the way!

Hallo Miguel,

I am a very happy owner of an RTMotion with one motor - 2.5 version - and I have posted a small review at this part of the forum.

You can find it very easily because there are very few posts with the tag "RTMotion".

Few days ago I was at a very radiation-full shooting enviroment with many 2.4ghz devices - including my own Transvideo Titan SD link - and never had a signal break through the entire day.

I would buy it again!
