Hi!

Want to bye a Decimator 2. But there´s a new product of Decimator: MD-Cross. I'm not sure if this would be the better, more flexible product. Anyway, it costs about twice as much...

What do you think?

What is your need for a converter box? If you tell us your intended purpose we can help you make an informed decision. (Full discloser: I do VTR work to help support myself whist I get to do more steadicam work, so I am quite willing to help out in said matters.)

Well, I just need a Decimator for my Paralinx Transmitter, which has just HDMI-Input. Sure, a Decimator2 would be sufficient for this. But perhaps there will be any needs in the future I don´t know currently.

Understandable. If you don't need the composite output, the MD-CROSS is much more powerful. That being said, the Decimator 2 will most likely do everything you will ever need it to do. I had a MD-DUCC, but traded it out for a Decimator 2, which does everything I need (even the scaleable HDMI out for something like the brite-view airsync HD)
