Hey Guys

Frustrated new user of the merlin I just bought - am struggling to get it balanced with a Nikon d3s and a nikkor 55mm 1.4d lens

The cookbook doesn't list the D3s at all (unsurprising I guess - I did buy the d3s for pictures originally!) but it definitely can be done as there is some examples on you tube

If anyone out there happens to know the settings for this combo I'd much appreciate a steer!

Thanks in advance

You might have a good chance directly messaging some people on youtube who posted videos, as you know they've worked with it.

Probably not a big chance a lot of people on this board have dealt with that issue.

The D3 has a pretty high CofM, I reckon its tricky to set up with the merlin

50mm is also a long lens for a newb

Id try something like a 28 prime
