Yes, I am OK, thanks for asking

I did feel a short tremble this morning in my appartment on the 6th floor.
Only much later I learned that it was an earth quake. That´s because in Thailand there are almost no english speaking TV stations or radio stations.
Very convenient for those few million tourist and foreigners......

I was on one of those beaches a few days ago, but I and the korean/thai crew moved out yesterday.........

We were lucky....... :(

Glad to hear you're OK. The news was talking about 400 victims in Thailand and still missing people. The also talked about some extra shocks to come. Take care.

Rob,

Been away from the computer, but I was thinking of you. Glad you are okay. Funny how this Steadicam thing has brought strangers from around the globe together; I've never even met Rob, but you were the first person I thought of when I heard.

Hey man
Good to hear that you are allright. Weird but Alec is right, I just logged on to see if anybody had heard from you yet. I just got an email from some friends that own a surf charter in padang, sumatra and they are good as well. You were the first person I thought about when I was done reading her message.
take care

Guys, that is heart warming! thanks for that!

Personally I have no damage, but this country will have another recovery, maybe for years. , Economic crashes, Sars, Avian Flu and now this.....

On the other hand, life goes on here, outside the affected areas, almost as if nothing happened. In fact, I am surprised by the low general interest here in Bangkok.
But my girlfriend was just asked to come to the french embassy to help translating for stranded foreigners.

I really hope it does not affect the film business here..... :(

once again, Thanks for thinking about me, it shows that working with Steadicam means more to people than just humping some steel around! :)
