I'm looking to rent a "through the lens" teleprompter to go onto my steadicam. I'm in New York City. I have seen one before but i can not remember who has it. My job is on Monday the 13th. Thanks in advance for any help.

Best,

Philip

If you don't find one in NY, One of the techs at PC&E in Atlanta started a prompter biz on the side... I'm sure he picked up a steadicam light weight one. Call and ask for Eason 404.609.9001

Hey Phil,

Abel Cine Tech in NYC has the Transvideo matte box prompter for rent.
I recall I had to cut my spare 15 mm rods to get it to fit properly on the camera package so a little prep would be helpful.
My job was indoors and the talent had no problems- can't say how good it would be outside.
Unless your prompter op has a wireless solution you will need to drag a cable.

Hi All,

I found a Prompter in town that worked very well

http://www.americanm...eleprompter.htm

The guy’s name is Bill Milling 917-414-5489

It was a 9” monitor with a lightweight hood and mirrorglass.

The package was a RED with the 16-42 zoom, focus and iriscontrol. No need for any counter weight for the prompter. Sorry I did not takea picture. The weight was fine for shooting host wraps. It would have been alittle heavy for a live show. I believe Bill has a 7” set up that might belighter.

Best,

Philip
