Hey All,

So I lugged a bunch of equipment to Hokkaido and have my Pilot with my HMC150, but am now considering putting my Canon 7D on there. Does anybody know where one can get a bunch of Merlin weights (or rent them) in Sapporo (or nearby)?

I know it's a long shot since steadicam does have as big of a presence in Japan in general. But I thought I'd ask :-P

You need more weights? i had a 5D on it once and had to take weights off to keep balance....
And I had to counter balance the camera/zoomlens with my Bartech behind the camera or it was hopelessly out of balance.
I think you need a plate to shift the camera backwards if you don't use a remote focus unit. Just using more weights at the bottom (at the back) will be bad for dynamic balance.
