Who's the operator on Todays CNN Situation Room Segment on the iPad?

How come you were grabbing the lens to zoom and focus?

just Bustin your balls because they kept cutting to you in the wide shot!

HI Rob,
Just for my curiosity, what's wrong of doing that?
I used to that to frame and focus to be ready for next coming shot.
I quited doing that after I bought the Stanton. But, find nothing going wrong for doing that.

Cheers,
Ken Nguyen.

There is nothing wrong with doing that Ken, just not while your operating....lol...

That's why we have Stanton controllers, prestons and BFDs

honestly, the director was having him hold an over the shoulder close up of the iPad, kinda foolish use of the rig if you ask me, the operating was fine he was just suffering through it....lol...

Sometimes broadcast shops refuse to spend money on accessories.....the operator could very well be just working with what they give him unfortunately.
