Hi all;

A new thing is being released soon or in a couple of months.

Cantor Fitzgerald, HSX, and Trend Exchange are going to be selling Movie Futures.

So you know a movie is good or bad, because you were there?

We can all bet on it now through a broker or directly.

Futures, from the little I know, are like Options and a perfect way to make or loose a lot of dough very fast!

(More of a reason to keep in touch with the Producer after its over!)

Wonder if this is considered insider trading?

You could spend a lot of time thinking about this one!

Janice,

I can't help but think this would be considered the equivalent to insider trading if you were involved in the production. However, it seems the financial services industry often doesn't appear to be that concerned about these kind of matters until things go sideways on monumental scale.

Just another form of gambling (so is the stock market for that matter). Could be fun.

Of course anyone working in the film industry is forbidden from trading. I'm sure the studios won't be trading through subsidiaries...they're ethics are too high.
