Hey community, I'm a Merlin owner/operator and I'm not using the gear like I used to. Just made a move to Montreal and want to unload my gear. The market looks a little unreliable for these things, so I thought ebay would be the best route. No reserve and a buy out at 2500 USD, so bid away if you're interested! Here's the link: http://bit.ly/6kn0eF

Can't believe I just paid 50 bucks to access this forum at the END of my steadicam run, but hopefully one of you has a need for the gear. Repost if you can in other communities...

Thanks guys!

To be honest, a Merlin isn't really a primary piece of gear like its much larger cousins... Were you marketing yourself primarily as a Steadicam operator? Those who own Merlins are more likely to market themselves as a production company with a decent arsenal of gear, like wedding videographers and such. The Merlin is simply a tool in said arsenal, if you will. In that capacity, a Merlin is a great addition to the collection in my opinion. I've been looking at getting one myself to use with several of my DSLRs. Do you know of anyone who was able to finance a career simply by owning a Merlin?
