payed with one a few months ago at the camera house, great timing because they had already fired it up and the gyros were already spun up to speed. It's basically a monopod with a shock absorber (pneumatic I think) and two opposing gyros placed along the Z-axis at 45º angles down the X-axis. The gyros worked to help stabilize the panning and the shock absorber took put the bumps one may get while shooting from a car or motorcycle.

actually, they work pretty well as a poor mans helicopter mount. fun little toy.
