I have the same thing that Rob has, purchased from Pro, it's a mod they do (maybe they got the idea from Rob?).  It's lower tech, but I can't see the disadvantage. Rob, what is it about this that appeals to you over what you have?

Regardless of the design, the option is fantastic. I use it on every shoot!  It's great to see these products on the market.

Bri,

I just think its cool,  My mod works just fine and for $350 Euro,  I'll just machine my second dock . . . .

Hey Philippe,

Damn I wish I had one on my last show, our DP lit a lot through the camera also... I won't get caught out there again!  Gonna place my order today.

Question... is there a pin or any thing other than friction from the kip handle locking you into the horizontal home position?

The Optical Support one has a kip handle, the dock n roll has a physical clamp and a handle that sits flat.

Thanks James, in haste, I had mistaken the Optical Support model for Philippe's.
